GKC Boyndie Drome Open Challenge 2013

ALL DRIVERS MUST SIGN ON BY 9.15 am ON THE DAY

Dates 24th March, 23rd Junes, 14th July, 5th August, 22nd September & 10th November.

This Year’s championship will be over 5 rounds with no dropped rounds

The 10th November meeting will be a ‘one off’’ & have no effect on the 5 round championship.

Entry has been set at £35 plus day membership of £10 if not already a GKC member.

GKC members MUST present their membership card at signing on.

Entry for the Prokarts will be £60 inclusive.

Format on the day will be 8 lap heats with 10 lap finals.

For Safety Reasons, Tyres used in each class must be as per MSA regulations e.g.

(Cadet, Dunlop SL3), (Mini Max / Junior Max, MOJO D1), (Senior Max, MOJO D2), (Gearbox DEH)

ALL SLICKS TYPE TYRES

For Rotax classes, VEGA tyres may be used throughout this year due to tyres being cheap with traders selling off old stock

ALL WETS MUST HAVE A MINIMUM OF 2MM OF TREAD BEFORE RACE STARTS

Rotax classes can run either the old or new airbox & can also use any of the supplied Rotax clutches.

RANDOM CHECKS MAY BE CARRIED OUT ON THE DUMMY GRID TO CHECK KARTS ARE PRESENTED TO CLUB STANDARDS

Cadet Comer 99Kgs / with Yellow Plates & Black No’s

Cadet Honda 103 Kgs / with Yellow Plates & Red No’s

Cadet WTP Type B1 Engine 93 Kgs / with Green Plates & White No’s

Cadet WTP Type B5 Engine 103 Kgs / with Green Plates & White No’s

Cadet drivers Must be 8 years old (minimum age)

Junior Mini Max 135 Kgs Driver Must be 11 years old (minimum age) / with Yellow Plates & Black No’s

Driver minimum weight 38Kgs with race gear on.

Junior Max 148 Kgs Driver Must be 13 years old (minimum age) / with Red Plates & White No’s

Driver minimum weight 40Kgs with race gear on.

Junior 100cc Any model 128 Kgs Driver Must be 12 years old (minimum age) / with Yellow Plates & White No’s

Senior Max 162 Kgs Driver Must be 16 years old (unless holding a race license & will be 16 in 2013) / Blue Plates with White No’s

Senior 100cc Any model 140 Kgs Driver Must be 16 years old (unless holding a race license & will be 16 in 2013) / White Plates with Black No’s

Senior Gearbox any model 175 Kgs Driver Must be 16 years old (unless holding a race license & will be 16 in 2013) / with Green Plates & White No’s

Random checks will be carried out and anyone not as per weights, kart spec in class, colours on kart, age. abide by club rules etc. may be put last or a more severe punishment ……even as far as being asked to leave the track at the clubs discretion, no ifs no buts.

Owners of karts / drivers must have two open challenges completed prior to getting to the front of the pack (heats only) for safety reasons.
